What We Set Out to Do
AMAR reaches 1,000 widows and women who head their households with education and skills training, covering literacy and numeracy, sewing and design, food preparation, hairdressing and IT. Through these core literacy and numeracy lessons and its vocational training, AMAR aims to help women take charge of their own lives and provide for their families.
Skills and Vocational Courses
The courses on offer include The Art of Cutting and Sewing, Hairdressing and Cosmetology, and Computer Training Sessions. Through them, women gain the skills to stand on their own feet, launch their own businesses or find work, such as data entry positions. AMAR also offers tutoring in mathematics and Arabic, along with education on legal rights.
