Women Health Volunteers (WHVs) bring health education, advice and basic health care to communities that have no direct route to medical services.
Where the programme operates
In Basra, GardaWorld funds a Health Post along with 20 Women Health Volunteers, and a further 10 WHVs are supported in Baghdad.

Women Health Volunteers are central to their communities when it comes to expanding health education and training. In 2013, WHVs carried out an average of 2,870 home visits each month, reaching more than 11,000 people.
